Frequently Asked Questions
What is therapy like with you?
I believe in creating a safe and confidential space for you to explore any areas in your life that may be causing you discomfort. I work coolaboratively with you to identify any goals you may have, and help you become more aligned with the self you want to be.
I use various modalities depending on your goals such as CBT, DBT, MI, polyvagal theory, and am certified as a trauma specialist.
How long are sessions?
Typically both in-person appointments at my Arcata office, and virtual appointments, are 60 minute sessions. If you would like shorter 30 minute sessions, please inquire, and I am able to accommodate those as well.
Do you take insurance? What is a super bill?
I do not curretly accept insurance, but I am able to provide a Super Bill. This is something you can give your insurance provider that can reimburse you for part of your session. Reimbursement rates for out of pocket sessions vary depending on your plan, but typically around 60%.
Do you provide sliding scale pricing?
I have room for a limited amount of sliding scale clients at a reduced rate. Please reach out to me for availability.
